I forgot to mention in my last post that 3 llamas along with 3 humans left from Soprabolzano, where I caught the cable car yesterday, in February and made it to Rome for Easter . They travelled along my route. You can read about it In this newspaper article.

I left Bozen along a cycle and walking path along the river. It was very busy as today was a public holiday in Italy. Along the way, two Italian speaking Jehovah’s Witnesses asked if they could have a chat with me but I told them I was in a hurry as I had to get to Rome.

The countryside around here is very beautiful and obviously very fertile. As well as apples, I’ve now gotten into the wine growing area.

In the afternoon. I walked the rest of the way to Termino with Silvana who is a local member of the VRG Association. She also extremely kindly cooked dinner for me.

In the valley are two glacerial lakes and the locals were enjoying themselves on their holiday.

This farmer had a big collection of old tractors.

When we arrived at Termeno , Silvana took me to see the 11th century Sankt Jakob or St James chapel above the town built at the peak time of pilgrimages to Santiago.
